摘要
设计了一种基于FPGA配置的千兆自适应以太网系统。在Virtex5 FPGA加PHY芯片88E1111的主体架构上,嵌入FPGA内的Embedded TriMode Ethernet MAC IP核,通过对PHY芯片的功能配置达到了基于FPGA软件、以硬件方式实现10/100/1000M带宽自适应和以太网协议的目的。实验结果表明,该设计实现了以太网数据的高效传输,较传统的软件实现方式有极大提高,具有较高的应用及推广价值。
Abstract
In the paper,a Gigabit self-adaptaion Ethernet system based on FPGA configuration is designed.In the main structure of Virtex-5 FPGA with the Embedded Tri-Mode Ethernet MAC IP core embedded plus the PHY chip of 88E1111,through the function configuration of the PHY chip,the purpose of realizing 10/100/1000M bandwidth self-adaptation and Ethernet protocol by means of hardware based on FPGA software is achieved.The experiment results show that the design realizes efficient transmission of Ethernet data which has a great improvement over traditional software implementation,and has high application and promotion value.
