Submission Guidelines for Integrated Circuits and Embedded Systems

 

Scope of Contributions

Integrated Circuits and Embedded Systems primarily publishes reviews and academic papers related to integrated circuits and embedded systems. Specific coverage includes:

Circuit and System Theory & Technology, Large-Scale Integrated Circuit Design and Manufacturing, Embedded Systems and System Optimization, Chaotic and Nonlinear Circuits, Sensors and the Internet of Things, Signal and Information Processing Systems and so on.

 

Submission Method
Authors should submit manuscripts and track their status via the journal's official online submission system at http://www.jices.cn. During registration, please provide: full name, institutional affiliation, detailed mailing address, contact phone number, postal code, valid email address.

 

Submission Procedure

1.Download the Manuscript Template from the journal's "Download Center" and revise your paper according to the specified formatting requirements.

2.Obtain the following documents from the "Download Center": Copyright Transfer Agreement and Confidentiality Review Form. Complete all forms, have them signed and stamped as required, then scan or photograph for later submission (upload upon acceptance).

3.Log in to the Author Center (New authors: Register first; Existing authors: Log in directly using your credentials) and follow system prompts to upload your manuscript.

4.Important Notice: As editorial communications are primarily with the first author or corresponding author, ensure their Email address and Mobile phone number are accurately provided during submission.

 

Peer Review Process

1.Review Procedure
All manuscripts undergo rigorous peer review: Editorial preliminary screening, Double-blind review by ≥2 field experts, Final decision by Editor-in-Chief. Detailed review comments provided regardless of outcome. Typical processing time: 2 months. Contact editorial office if exceeding 2 months.

2.Appeal Procedure: Authors may appeal rejection decisions: Submit formal written appeal with all authors' signatures; re-upload via submission system with note: "APPEAL: [Original Manuscript ID]". Appeals trigger: Independent review by third-party expert; final arbitration by Editorial Board/Editor-in-Chief.

3.Evaluation Criteria: Manuscripts are assessed based on originality and scholarly merit, with emphasis on:
① Scientific/engineering significance of research objectives
② Comprehensive literature review and proper citation
③  Innovation in methodology/application
④ Scientific rigor in methods and validation
⑤ Validity and reliability of conclusions/results
⑥ Potential for engineering application and impact
⑦ Writing quality and presentation

 

Acceptance & Copyright

The typical timeline from submission to print publication is approximately 8 months. Upon publication, articles will be indexed in databases including: China Science and Technology Core Journal and CNKI (China National Knowledge Infrastructure). The Editorial Board reserves the right to make necessary technical modifications and editorial revisions. Upon publication, exclusive copyright (covering all existing and future media formats) is transferred to the Integrated Circuits and Embedded Systems Editorial Office. Authors retain the right to use the work in summaries, studies, research, or teaching.

 

Academic Integrity Policy

All manuscripts under review by this journal must not be simultaneously submitted to other publications. This journal currently does not accept manuscripts generated by artificial intelligence. If the editorial office discovers duplicate submissions, the manuscript will be rejected directly. Duplicate publication is strictly prohibited in this journal. Upon discovery, the manuscript will be disqualified from publication in this journal, and the first author and corresponding author will be prohibited from submitting manuscripts to this journal for two years.

 

Publication Fees

As an Open Access Journal, all published articles are permanently freely accessible and downloadable on our official website. To support open access publishing, the following fees apply upon manuscript acceptance. Article Publishing Charge (APC): 300 RMB per printed page. Color Printing Supplement: Additional 1000 RMB for 4 color pages.

This journal is printed on demand. After the publication of the paper, the editorial department will send the author 2 sample copies.

Writing Requirements

1. It is recommended that the submission be no less than 8 pages. Submissions should include Chinese and English titles, Chinese and English abstracts (Explaining the research objectives, innovative experimental methods, research results, and final conclusions, with emphasis on method innovation and result conclusions. The Chinese and English abstracts must correspond, and the English abstract is preferably around 150 content words) and 5-8 keywords. The introduction should clarify the research background and cite progress made by domestic and international peers in the field, thereby justifying the topic’s significance and the paper’s innovations.

2. Quantities and units must comply with national regulations. Foreign characters should distinguish between uppercase/lowercase and upright/italic forms; superscripts and subscripts must be clearly differentiated in position and height.

3. Figures and tables should be accompanied by Chinese and English captions. When designing figures and tables, consider the double-column typesetting characteristics of Integrated Circuits and Embedded Systems; their width generally should not exceed 8 cm.

4. Reference citations should follow the principles of "latest, key, necessary, and personally read". Citations should appear sequentially in the text, with at least 10 references recommended. Unpublished materials are generally not suitable for citation. Bibliographic entries must be accurate, following these formats:
