Research on Interrupt Technology of HPE and VTF Based on RISCV

Abstract

In the paper, a fast-programmable interrupt controller(FPIC) based on the RISCV architecture is introduced.Compared with the standard RISCV interrupt controler PLIC, FPIC has the HPE and VTF interrupt technology.Compare the difference of interrupt processing flow between FPIC and PLIC of WCH self-developed RISCV microprocessor Qingke V4, and take the general 32bit interconnected MCU Chitu V307 as the experimental chip to verify the measured difference of interrupt latency between on and off HPE and VTF modes.
