Design of Narrowband Power Line Carrier Communication Module Based on MCU

Abstract

In the paper,a power line carrier communication module based on a universal microcontroller is proposed.Firstly,the overall design of the carrier module is presented,followed by detailed hardware and software design,and finally module testing is conducted.The carrier module adopts Renesas high-performance microcontroller R5F100BE,UTC's demodulation chip MC3361BPL,and peripheral electronic components.It designs a zero crossing detection circuit,carrier coupling circuit,carrier transmission amplification circuit,and carrier demodulation circuit,forming advanced low-cost power line carrier module hardware.The software adopts BFSK modulation and direct spread spectrum technology,and designs a single chip three channel communication software process.Under limited computing resources,the three channel communication is not affected by each other,and the program design of the sending and receiving module and DFT decoding algorithm are provided.High sensitivity 421±15 kHz power line carrier communication is achieved.This design has the advantages of low implementation cost,flexibility,and low research and development investment,and has certain practical value in the field of power line IoT.
