A Time-redundant Network Interface Fault Tolerance Method

Abstract

In the paper,a time-redundant network interface fault tolerance method is proposed,which uses a record table to record each request data packet,and quickly performs a fast detection when an error is detected by the parity error detection module to ensure the reliability of the network interface.This paper analyzes the fault source of the network interface of i.MX 28 EVK,and designs a fault-tolerant method for the network interface by using the method proposed in this paper.The proposed method is evaluated by simulating the network interface fault injection experiment.The experiment results show that the fault-tolerant method reduces the failure rate of the network interface caused by soft errors,and can improve the reliability of the network interface with less overhead.
