Abstract

OpenHarmony is an open source project incubated and operated by the OpenAtom Foundation.The goal is to build a framework and platform of intelligent terminal equipment operating system based on open source for the full scene,full connection,and full intelligence era,and promote the prosperity and development of the Internet of Things industry.Since its open source in september 2020,it has attracted over 5 000 community co builders,over 50 co-construction units,and nearly 100 million lines of code.The version has also been upgraded from 1.0 to the latest 3.2 Release version,and the system capabilities have rapidly matured.This article will unfold from the development history of operating systems,the development process of OpenHarmony,the comparison between OpenHarmony and Android,technical architecture,ecological construction,and other dimensions,to help readers gain a deeper understanding of OpenHarmony.I believe that OpenHarmony will definitely develop into a great operating system in the future,with significant breakthroughs in installed capacity and application quantity.In the era of the Internet of Things,it can be the next generation operating system.
